The story
The Challenge
Life & Mortgages launched around a clear niche, complex cases a standard bank or call centre could not handle, and had no website.
- A new advice business has a harder trust problem than most launches, and many clients who need this kind of advice have already been turned down elsewhere and arrive sceptical
- With no track record on the page, a visitor had to take Lewis’s expertise on faith
- There was no explanation of the process and no compliance disclosures to reassure a first-time visitor
Our Approach
Kickass Online built the site to put Lewis’s ethos into practice from the first click.
- Position against the market: Kickass Online wrote the site to answer why a borrower should choose an independent adviser over a bank or a hard-to-reach local broker, with Life & Mortgages as the third option.
- Plain-English messaging: Each explanation, from residential mortgages to equity release, is written to be understood, matching the “approved and understood” promise at the centre of the brand.
- One adviser, one process: An adviser profile and a three-step “how it works” section make clear that one person handles a case from first call to completion.
- Compliance built in: Kickass Online put the full FCA regulatory disclosures, including the firm’s Appointed Representative status and FCA number, in the footer, where they do not interrupt the page.
The Solution
The site launched in 48 hours with an FAQ section that answers the questions a sceptical borrower asks, fees, bank versus adviser, life insurance duplication and remortgage timing, so a cold visit turns into a warmer first conversation.
The Result
Life & Mortgages went from zero to live in 48 hours, with four core service lines (residential mortgages, protection and insurance, specialist finance, and equity release) live at launch and 100% FCA compliance built in from day one. The site shows the services and the firm’s 5.0-star rating across 43 Google reviews.
