Social Media Policy

Purpose: The purpose of the Kickass Online Ltd (KAO) Social Media Policy is to provide guidelines for the responsible use of social media by our employees. This policy aims to protect both the company’s reputation and our employees’ professional integrity.

Scope: This policy applies to all employees of KAO and covers the use of social media both in the workplace and outside of work hours, particularly when referencing KAO, its clients, or its business.

Policy:

  1. Professionalism: Employees must always conduct themselves in a professional manner when using social media, especially when discussing matters related to the company, clients, or competitors.
  2. Confidentiality: Confidential and proprietary information about KAO, our clients, and business partners must not be shared on social media.
  3. Respect and Non-Discrimination: Communications on social media must be respectful and free from discriminatory, offensive, or inflammatory content. Remember that social media is a public platform.
  4. Personal Accounts: When using personal social media accounts, employees should clarify that their views do not represent those of KAO. A disclaimer such as “Opinions are my own” can be useful.
  5. Brand Representation: Employees designated as official representatives of KAO on social media must adhere strictly to the company’s branding and communication guidelines.
  6. Engagement with Audience: While engaging with the audience, maintain a courteous and professional tone. Avoid arguments or heated discussions that could reflect poorly on KAO.
  7. Legal Compliance: Ensure that social media activities comply with relevant laws, including copyright and intellectual property rights. Do not publish copyrighted imagery without permission.
  8. Reporting Inappropriate Content: Employees should report any inappropriate or harmful content related to KAO on social media to their supervisor or the marketing department.
  9. Policy Violations: Non-compliance with this social media policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
