Remote Work Policy

Purpose: The Remote Work Policy at Kickass Online Ltd (KAO) aims to provide guidelines for employees who work from a location other than our primary office. This policy is designed to maintain productivity and work-life balance while ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.

Scope: This policy applies to all employees who work remotely, whether on a full-time, part-time, or ad hoc basis.

Policy:

  1. Eligibility and Approval: Not all roles at KAO are suitable for remote work. The eligibility for remote work is determined by the nature of the job and the employee’s performance history. All remote work arrangements must be approved by the respective manager.
  2. Work Environment: Employees are responsible for setting up a suitable, safe, and ergonomically sound work environment at their remote location. KAO may provide support for necessary equipment or office supplies.
  3. Work Hours and Availability: Remote employees are expected to maintain standard work hours and be available for communication and meetings during these hours, just as they would if they were in the office.
  4. Communication: Regular and effective communication is crucial. Remote workers should be accessible by phone, email, and other digital communication tools as agreed upon with their manage namely Discord / Slack / Whatsapp.
  5. Data Security and Confidentiality: Remote workers must adhere to KAO’s data protection and privacy policies. This includes securing their internet connection and ensuring the confidentiality of work-related information.
  6. Performance and Accountability: Remote employees are expected to maintain the same level of performance as if they were in the office. Managers will regularly review the output and quality of work.
  7. Health and Safety: Employees are responsible for ensuring their remote work environment complies with health and safety standards. KAO is committed to providing guidance and support where necessary.
  8. Expenses: KAO will outline which expenses related to remote work are reimbursable, including guidelines for submitting expense reports.
  9. Review and Modification of Arrangements: Remote work arrangements are subject to ongoing review and may be modified or discontinued based on business needs and individual performance.
