Disciplinary Policy

Purpose: The purpose of the Disciplinary Policy at Kickass Online Ltd (KAO) is to set clear expectations of conduct and performance for employees and to outline the process for addressing any deviations from these expectations.

Scope: This policy applies to all employees of KAO.

Policy:

  1. Standards of Conduct and Performance: Employees are expected to adhere to high standards of conduct and performance. This includes compliance with company policies, maintaining professional behavior, and achieving performance targets.
  2. Identification of Issues: When issues of conduct or performance arise, they will first be addressed through informal discussions and coaching. The aim is to guide the employee towards improvement.
  3. Formal Disciplinary Process: If informal measures do not lead to improvement, or in cases of serious misconduct, a formal disciplinary process will be initiated. This includes:
    • Written Warning: The employee will be given a written warning detailing the nature of the misconduct or performance issue, the change required, and the timeframe for improvement.
    • Final Written Warning: If the issue persists or another issue arises, a final written warning will be issued.
    • Suspension: In cases of serious misconduct, the employee may be suspended with pay during the investigation.
    • Termination: If the issue still does not improve, or in cases of gross misconduct, it may result in termination of employment.
  4. Disciplinary Meetings: Employees have the right to be accompanied by a colleague or a trade union representative at any disciplinary meeting.
  5. Appeals: Employees have the right to appeal against any disciplinary action. The appeal must be made in writing, stating the grounds of the appeal, within a specified timeframe.
  6. Record Keeping: Records of disciplinary meetings, actions, and appeals will be kept confidentially in the employee's personnel file.
  7. Consistency and Fairness: All disciplinary matters will be handled consistently and fairly, in accordance with established procedures and without discrimination.
  8. Training and Support: Managers and supervisors will receive training on this policy to ensure it is applied fairly and effectively.
