Purpose: At Kickass Online Ltd (KAO), we are committed to providing a work environment that is free from harassment and bullying. This policy aims to prevent harassment and bullying and outlines the steps to be taken if such incidents occur.
Scope: This policy applies to all employees, contractors, clients, and anyone who has a business relationship with KAO.
Policy:
- Zero Tolerance: KAO maintains a zero-tolerance policy for harassment and bullying, whether physical, verbal, or psychological. Any form of harassment or bullying, based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, age, disability, or any other characteristic, is strictly prohibited.
- Examples of Prohibited Behaviour: Harassment and bullying can include, but are not limited to, unwelcome remarks, jokes, teasing, intimidation, verbal abuse, or threats. Sexual harassment includes any unwanted sexual advances or conduct.
- Reporting and Confidentiality: Employees are encouraged to report any incidents of harassment or bullying to their manager, HR, or any member of the senior leadership team. All complaints will be treated with confidentiality and sensitivity.
- Investigation Process: Upon receiving a complaint, KAO will promptly and thoroughly investigate the matter. The investigation process will be fair and unbiased, ensuring the rights of all parties involved are respected. If necessary a 3rd party may be brought in to manage the investigation.
- Protection from Retaliation: Employees who make complaints or participate in investigations are protected from retaliation. Any retaliatory action will be subject to disciplinary action.
- Disciplinary Action: If harassment or bullying is confirmed, KAO will take appropriate disciplinary action, which may include counselling, formal warning, demotion, or termination of employment.
- Training and Awareness: KAO will provide regular training and awareness programs to educate employees about harassment and bullying, and their rights and responsibilities under this policy.
- Review and Monitoring: This policy will be reviewed regularly to ensure its effectiveness. Feedback from employees is encouraged to continuously improve the approach to preventing harassment and bullying.
